Its cool dont worry bout it.There are fur buyers all over my state but I just havent sold any yet.I ordered some stuff thats called Hide Tanning Formula but as I mentioned I just havent got to try it out yet. From the instructions on the bottle it doesnt sound too difficult but I’ll probably try it out on a coyote pelt first just in case.I dont wanna mess up a bobcat pelt.

Ah, probably should have looked at the posted date.
Eh, I just hate it when people put pelts on eBay then call them tanned when they’re obviously not(and the person was too stupid to know the difference/do some research).

I’ve only tried egg-tanning(the only easily accessible tanning agent in a city.), the hard part is just making them soft. It’s definitely something to try at least once.

Oh ok.I’ve skinned several since I made that comment and have it down pretty good I think. Its a pain in the ass but I’ve gotten pretty good at skinning and fleshing them.If you sell them you dont have to tan them. But if your going to keep them you have to.I havent tryed to tan any of them yet but I have the stuff to tan them with.

  4. BasiliskZero says:

Not really, it’s the tanning process that makes it white(or cream colored).
There are two pain-in-the-ass processes to go through to sell your coyote pelt, first you do all the tedious fleshing work, then you do the either a.)long, hard, and even more tedious tanning job that may or may not work, or b.)pay a tannery to probably do it right.

Do a little Google research before you run off blowing dog heads off and spamming eBay with shitty green pelts that’ll rot in the mail. :/

You should definately do a video on how to flesh a coyote pelt.I have an idea of how to do it but Im not sure if Im getting at it good. The pelt should look white by the time your done right?

So is all of this necessar if your going to sell coyote pelts and things like that?I know your supposed to flesh it and everything but is it necessary to worry about all of the tedious work like the nose, lips and eyes?

I have used your videos for my first mounted deer and words cannot explain how helpful they were. I want to thank you for taking the time to video your talent. I wish there were more.
I accidentally received a part two deer video when I purchased a pheasant video but yours is much better than the one I received from Van Dykes.
My next project will be a coon, mink, pheasant, squirel and fox.
I really enjoy doing this kind of work.

    Thanks again.
