The Montana Taxidermist Association is gathering at the Hilton Garden Inn this weekend for their annual Wildlife Art Show and Competition.

The various heads, pelts, and molds at this fundraiser represent a world of animal life, from the common to the exotic and Montana Taxidermists Association President Dale Manning explained that the event focuses on the artistic nature of taxidermy.

"And that's why we've included some of the fine artists that we have, to show people that relationship between taxidermy and art."

The main attraction is an elephant standing tall at the show.

"Not only is it an elephant that's taxidermied there's also a whole piece of artwork that's incorporated into the back" explained spectator Sean Kochel. "There's just a lot of imagination involved there...
